2. What's CliqTags?
• A content management system for mobile-
adapted interactive sites
• All administration is done in the cloud
• Each customer gets its own account
• Created sites can be customer-branded
• Smart pages types provide interaction:
forms, payments, news feeds, sharing etc
• It's easy to work with multiple sites
• Detailed statistics enables follow-up
• Content can be time-controlled
3. What is it useful for?
• Place- and context-focused
information for customers
• Information about the
company
• Offerings
• Coupons
• Contests
• Surveys
• etc
4. What makes CliqTags unique?
• Multiple channels to the same content (see later)
• Content can be time-controlled on a site or page level
• Alternative sites and pages can be prepared beforehand, and be
activated automatically (or manually) when needed
• Sites can be structured any way you like
• Simple navigation via obvious buttons
• The content is automatically mobile-adapted
• The content can be changed at any time, without affecting
the access
• Not the least important for QR codes, NFC tags and beacons
• CliqTags isn't locked to specifically marketing
5. Access methods
• QR codes (best for print)
• NFC tags (not iOS)
• Beacons (see later)
• SMS (bulk or request)
• E-mail (bulk)
• Digital ads (via mobile sites/apps)
• Wrapper apps (installed the usual way)
• Redirection (PC site to mobile site)
6. What's a beacon?
• A small device that signals an identity
• The identity consists of UUID, Major ID and Minor ID
• A beacon doesn't send content
• Bluetooth Low Energy minimizes power
• Range is realistically up to 30 meter (line of sight)
• An app is required to interpret the identity
• Available in many variants with battery or USB and
with different battery time, form factor etc
• Beacons can be configured in terms of identity,
power, ping interval etc
* Beacon = iBeacon-compatible beacon
7. CliqTags' beacon solution
• Supports all fully iBeacon-compatible beacons
• CliqTags Beacon Reader associates beacon identities with
sites in CliqTags (many-to-many)
• Detected content is shown as a smorgasboard where the
user can select what's interesting
• Sites are created the normal way in CliqTags
• In the simplest case no development is needed
• Reliable beacons are provided via CliqTags Store
• CliqTags also supports Eddystone-URL
8. Beacon considerations
• Beacons don't have to be static
• They can be put on vehicles and people
• Beacons can (and should) be hidden, to minimize
impact on design and to minimize theft
• yet, the signal is attenuated behind metal and water
• There are waterproof beacons for outdoor use
• Even phones/tablets can behave as beacons
• This is how Apple uses iPads in certain stores
• Be clear about the user benefits
• Look at long-term value and use
9. Digital signage + beacons
• A natural combination
• Digital signage provides the immediate
information
• Beacons transfer the information to the
customer's phone
• Beacons are easily connected to the USB outlets
of the screens
• That way they become maintenance-less
• QR codes and links can be displayed on the
screens as a complement
