Importance of nature
How nature is getting destroyed
 1. People
 2. Businesses and Industry
 3. Chemicals
 4. Plastics
 5.Natural disasters
Methods to conserve Natural Resources
1. SAVE NATURE
“With out nature, we are nothing”
Nature is provider of all our resources and home to all species. We can
help nature in our own ways, by planting trees , protecting natural areas ,
Restoring degraded areas, making a butterfly garden or growing flowers in
our Balconies.
2. SAVE WATER
“Water is life !!”
3. Save energy
“Energy is power. Pure and simple”
It is the power to live comfortably
and to create a strong economy. But power
corrupts, and the side effects of an era of
cheap energy include urban sprawl, climate
change, and economic fragility. We must
change before change is forced upon us.
.
4. Use green power
“Green power respects nature”
All power sources have an
environmental impact, but renewable
sources have far less of an impact than
nuclear or fossil fuels.
5. Waste less
Don't trash the planet!
Remember the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, and
recycle.
While shopping
6. Buy green
“Make change happen.”
We've already changed the auto industry,
and we've created a market for local
food. The more we invest in a green
economy, the sooner the whole world will
change.
7.Eat smart
The more value we place on our food,
the healthier we will be.
Grow your own, pick your own,
support local farmers, buy organic,
choose sustainable, and eat more
vegetarian meals.
8. Live local
Our homes are our biggest investment,
but the community we live in is every bit
as important.
Enjoy your community, support your
local business, arts and culture, and
pitch in to help make your
neighbourhood a great place to live.
A green future depends on our ability to
create vibrant urban villages.
8. Drive less
We have to find better ways of moving
ourselves and goods around, and reducing
the need to travel great distances.
Where you live, work, and play, are key
factors in your ability to reduce your
personal car-dependency, which leads us to
the next challenge...
Presentation on nature and wildlife conservation
Wildlife conservation
What is it?
• Wildlife protection act started in 1972
• Wildlife conservation is the protection of species and
habitats of animals.
• The banning of hunting seasons for endangered or
threatened species.
Importance of wildlife
conservation
•Beauty
•Economic value
•Scientific value
•Maintain Ecological
Balance
• Eco- Tourism.
Cause of wildlife destruction
 Human Nature
Habitat loss
Poaching and Hunting
National and international wildlife
trades
• Pet Trade
• Fur Trade
• Meat Trade
• Body Parts Trade
• Trade for Biomedical
Research
Some other causes
• Climate change / Global warming
• Farmer / Rancher Shootings
Effects of Wild Life Depletion
1) Unbalance Food chain
and Ecosystem
2) Reduction in rare
Wild Animals
3) Danger to Human Life
4) Impact on Biodiversity

Ways to conserve wildlife
 The first step towards conserving endangered animals is to
learn as much as possible about them. If we know where and
how they live, and what they need to survive, it will be easier
for us to help them.
 Build a bird feeder and establish a bird bath for the
neighbourhood birds at your roof
 There are many organizations that are fighting to preserve
wildlife, including Greenpeace and the world wildlife fund.
Join one today or start your own
 Try vegetarian. It has style and is a healthy way of life.
 Volunteer to help at your local animal shelter.
 Avoid throwing plastic into rivers and seas. Marine wildlife
such as turtles, whales and dolphins confuse plastic with
food. When ingested, their digestive tracts may become
blocked and they may die from starvation.
