Problem of Unemployment is essentially the
PROBLEM OF POVERTY.

2. To Remove poverty from rural areas, SGSY was launched in
the villages ,in April 1999.

3. NRLM is expected to provide Self Employment to
90 Lakh Persons.

4. NREGA provides guaranteed wage employment of 100 days to all
those in the rural areas who are below poverty line and are able to
work and willing to work at the wage rate offered by the
government.

5. NEP involves a massive drive towards privatization.

unemployed.

7. Under this act , all those who are willing to
work at the minimum wage rate are offered
work for a minimum period of 100 days.

8. This scheme seeks to provide guaranteed employment in
the most backward districts of the country.
