MISSION
✤ Through no fault of their own,
more than four million dogs
end up in shelters and dog
rescue organizations every
year, and nearly half of them
never find a place to call
home. Our mission is to help
those dogs by providing grants
to 501(c)(3) shelters and
rescue groups—and by
encouraging dog adoption.
17. Pedigree Guidelines
How is it determined which shelters and breed rescues will be
recipients of grants from the Foundation?
A: All organizations seeking grants should be a
501(c)(3) non-profit entity whose activities focus
on helping shelter and/or breed rescue dogs find
loving homes, and meet other criteria established
by the Foundation's Board of Directors. A
registration process will guide
non-profit organizations through the eligibility
questions and application process. All
organizations that meet the criteria and submit an
application by the deadline will receive funding in
an amount determined by the Foundation.
18. Some Considerations
Does your giving policy align with
your culture, vision, values,
assets?
Will it generate positive
publicity?
