l If 2014 represented the positive enter in the thermoplastic helmets
world and the winning return in the races, in 2015 we would be more
competitive in racing market. The racing helmets range, enlarged
through riders replica helmets, represents a come back to the start.
Aggressive colours with the add of the brand Ducati for the Dovizioso
replica, great glitter effect for the Rins replica bring back our brand to
be protagonist in the Moto GP. This road will be strengthened also this
year. A great effort in the cross , in which we gained more than one
time world podiums. Just to reward these important successes in the
cross, we invested in this branch and in this catalogue you find the
new top of the cross range, ALPHA. An innovative product, born by the
racing experience, a very professional product and fit for an expert and
demanding user.
l The care of the details and the aggressive colours of Suomy make ours
a product not only protective but fashion, something to show and use
to be admired. It is with this aim that our team work realized the new
ALPHA. A helmet that must be in the hands and worn to understand the
weight, the tradeoff and the comfort. The weight, under the kilo,
represents the strong point, together with the air ventilations and the
ergonomic peak. The inner liner, of course removable and washable, in
anallergic fabric was realized thinking about the safety. In case of fall
the cheek pads indeed have a quick unfasten, which allows an easy
helmet removal.
l From track to urban experience throughout the authenticity of the
Italian style, this is the way of Suomy team to take care of customers’
needs, and his program is developed bearing in mind the following
MUST:
• 100% hand-made helmets
• Fully customizable fitting
• Ultra-light weight
• Visor with good optical properties
l The production process of fiber helmets starts by cutting the raw
material (a mix of Kevlar, carbon and fibre glass called TRICARBOCO)
into single pieces of different size based on the shell shape and
homologation requirements.
The moulding process is completely hand made and the weight of
every shell is checked and approved in order to be in the specified
weight range.
l A fully automated water jet machine cuts out the primary parts of the
shell like the eye portal/visor, lower border and holes for ventilation,
and other key parts.
l At each stage of production strict quality controls are made to ensure
that every single component of the helmet is inspected and checked
for optimum quality.
In addition, every shell is made by hand to obtain the smoothest
surface possible before moving on to the painting steps.
l The automated shell painting process consists of two steps. In the first
step the base coat is applied so that helmet decal/graphics can then
be easily put. In the second step a UV clear coat is put on the outer
shell surface to prevent the fading of the helmet graphics.
The automation of some process parts and the use of innovative
technology and materials are very important nowadays but the hand
made plays a focus role in Suomy helmets production and makes a
difference.
l The graphic decals are applied in a humidity and temperature
controlled clean room to ensure their perfect application free of any
contaminants.
l The helmet’s chinstrap is fixed to the shell by an automated machine,
while the energy absorbing EPS liner is inserted by hand.
l The visor installation process assures its correct positioning with an
airtight seal and proper adjustment of the visor mechanisms.
l The last steps of the production line are the assembly and the
packaging.
Once the helmet is assembled it is then checked to ensure the highest
quality workmanship.
l Before packaging, the staff carries out the last visual check before
affixing the QUALITY CONTROL CHECK sticker on the outside of the box
assuring that the helmet has passed Suomy’s stricted quality control
inspection before shipment.
The helmet is now ready to be worn.

l Se il 2014 ha rappresentato l’ingresso positivo nel mondo dei caschi
in termoplastico ed il ritorno vittorioso nelle competizioni, nel 2015
diventiamo maggiormente competitivi nel mercato del racing.
La gamma dei caschi stradali, arricchita con i caschi “replica piloti’’
rappresenta un ritorno alle origini. Colorazioni aggressive con
l’aggiunta del marchio Ducati per il Dovizioso replica, grande effetto
glitter per il Rins replica riportano il nostro marchio ad essere
protagonista nella moto GP. Un percorso questo, che verrà consolidato
anche quest’anno. Un grande impegno nel cross dove abbiamo più
volte conquistato i podi mondiali. E, proprio per coronare questi
importanti successi nel fuoristrada, abbiamo investito in questo settore
e in questo catalogo è presente il nuovo top di gamma cross, ALPHA.
Un prodotto innovativo, frutto dell’esperienza in gara, un prodotto
sicuramente molto professionale ed adatto ad un utente competente
ed esigente.
l La cura nei particolari e le aggressive colorazioni di Suomy fanno del
nostro prodotto un oggetto non solo di protezione ma fashion, un
qualcosa da esibire e da usare per essere ammirati. Ed è con questo
preciso intento che il nostro team work ha operato nella realizzazione
del nuovo ALPHA. Un casco che deve essere stretto tra le mani ed
indossato per capire il peso, la bilanciatura dell’insieme e il comfort.
Inutile dire che il peso, sotto il chilo, rappresenta il punto di forza,
assieme alle ventilazioni forzate e ad un frontino ergonomico. Gli
interni, ovviamente estraibili e lavabili, in tessuto anallergico sono
anche stati realizzati pensando alla sicurezza. l guanciali, infatti, in
caso di caduta hanno un sistema di sgancio rapido che permette una
facilissima rimozione del casco.
l Dall’esperienza acquisita in pista alla strada attraverso l’autenticità
dello stile italiano Suomy si prende cura delle necessità dei propri
clienti e sviluppa il suo programma partendo dai seguenti MUST:
• Caschi fatti interamante a mano con tecnologie all’avanguardia
• Interni personalizzabili
• Peso estremamente ridotto
• Visiere otticamente perfette
l Il ciclo produttivo dei caschi in fibra inizia con il taglio a mano del
materiale grezzo, un mix di fibre composite, Kevlar e carbonio, in pezzi
unici e forme diverse in base alla taglia della calotta da produrre ed ai
requisiti di omologazione. Il processo di stampaggio viene quindi
effettuato a mano, con l’utilizzo di resine aramidiche e la calotta viene
in seguito controllata per verificarne la conformità del peso e dello
spessore stabilito.
l Segue il taglio completamente automatico con getto d'acqua. In questo
passaggio viene data al casco la forma finale. Tutte le parti non
necessarie vengono eliminate ed incisi bordo inferiore, fori per la
ventilazione e per la visiera. Successivamente il casco viene
smerigliato e lucidato a mano per ottenere una superficie
perfettamente liscia ed omogenea prima di passare alla fase della
verniciatura.
l In ogni fase della produzione vengono eseguiti rigorosi controlli di
qualità. La frequente presenza di controlli durante tutta la fase di
produzione garantisce la “qualità superiore Suomy”.
l Il processo di verniciatura automatizzato è costituito da due fasi. Nella
prima fase si applica uno strato di colore che facilita l’applicazione
delle decalcomanie sul casco. Nella seconda fase viene applicato un
rivestimento trasparente ai raggi UV, che evita ogni scolorimento della
grafica del casco. L’automazione di alcune fasi del processo produttivo
e l’utilizzo di tecnologie e materiali all’avanguardia sono molto
importanti al giorno d’oggi ma il lavoro manuale gioca un ruolo
importante nella produzione dei caschi Suomy e fa la differenza.
l Le grafiche sono applicate in un ambiente a umidità e temperatura
controllate, tassativamente senza polvere per assicurare che la loro
applicazione sia esente da qualsiasi contaminante. L’applicazione delle
decal rappresenta una fase complessa, che solo mani esperte ed
allenate possono svolgere.
l Il cinturino del casco viene fissato alla calotta con l’aiuto di una
macchina automatica, mentre l’interno in EPS viene inserito a mano.
l Le prese d’aria, i meccanismi, le imbottiture e la visiera vengono poi
assemblati con estrema cura.
l Le ultime fasi della linea di produzione sono l'assemblaggio e il
confezionamento. Una volta che il casco è assemblato viene
nuovamente controllato per garantire la massima qualità di
lavorazione. Prima del confezionamento, il personale effettua l'ultimo
controllo per poi apporre l’etichetta CONTROLLO QUALITA’ sulla parte
esterna della scatola.
l Il casco è pronto per la spedizione. Un casco eccellente, curato nei
minimi particolari in tutte le fasi del processo produttivo per essere
indossato da motociclisti esigenti ed esperti.

The new SCS product (SUOMY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) offers important new features for
the market of Bluetooth inter-com systems for helmets. In addition to the typical functions that
enable connection with a mobile phone (to speak in safety and listen to mp3 files in hi-fi stereo)
and communication with the passenger, SCS also has an integrated FM radio and Bluetooth
class 1 system in version 2.1.

! Internal polystyrene realized in three sizes to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density.
This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the energy produced by the
impact. Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external
shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is determinant for the absorption of the
residual energy. A diversified density of the polystyrene, permits us to optimize the mechanical
performance of the shell/polystyrene.
Polistirolo interno di protezione in tre taglie (S, M e L) al fine di offrire la migliore ergonomia possibile
e con densità variabile. Tale caratteristica consente un graduale e progressivo assorbimento della
forza d’urto generata da un impatto. Anche se la maggior parte dell’energia dovuta a un impatto
viene assorbita dalla calotta esterna di protezione grazie alla sua deformazione, il ruolo del
polistirolo risulta essere determinante per l’assorbimento dell’energia residua. Una densità
diversificata del polistirolo stesso consente di ottimizzare le prestazioni meccaniche del complesso
calotta-polistirolo, garantendo il massimo grado di assorbimento in tutte le zone del casco stesso.
! The cheek pads and the internal comfort shell can be removed, washed and replaced.
They are made of a precious fabric with specific fibers, that offer:
• It moves away the body sweat;
• It keeps rider fresh, dry and completely comfortable;
• Lightweight, soft and breathable fabric;
• Performance controlled and certified by ADVANSA.
The cheek pads are easily removable also in case of accident through a red strap which removes
the cheek pad even if the helmet is worn by the rider.

Sono in pregiato tessuto bielastico con fibre specifiche che offrono :
