7. Ahmed Abdel-Meguid is a tenured associate professor of accounting at the American University in Cairo (AUC) where he
teaches financial accounting and auditing courses. He currently serves as the chair of the department of accounting and is
the former director of the MBA Programs at AUC - School of Business. He previously taught financial accounting and auditing
courses at Syracuse University (USA), the German University in Cairo (Egypt), and Ain Shams University (Egypt). He also has
extensive experience in teaching training courses for professional certifications such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Ahmed was a consultant to the Egyptian Tax Authority â Ministry of Finance from
2007 till 2010. He was also the liaison between the School of Business at the AUC and the Secretariat of the Principles for
Responsible Management Education (PRME) of the UN (2011-2014). In 2010 he founded the Corporate Governance Club
(CGC) at the AUC and was its faculty advisor from 2010 till 2014. In 2015 he founded the Accounting Association (ActA) and is
its current advisor. Ahmed also served on the Transparency and Integrity Committee of Egyptian Ministry of State for
Administrative Development (2009- 2010).
Ahmedâs research focuses on Auditing, Audit Quality, Auditorâs Industry Specialization, Corporate Governance, and Earnings
Quality. He has papers published in the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Review of Accounting and Finance, Journal of
Management and Governance, International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, Corporate Governance:
The International Journal of Business in Society, International Journal of Corporate Governance, and Emerald Emerging
Markets Case Studies.

9. Dr. Islam Azzam is Associate Professor of Finance (Tenured), Head of Finance and Director of the Master of Science in Finance
at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He joined AUC as full time faculty since 2005 teaching both graduate and
undergraduate courses in corporate finance, international finance, derivatives, investment, and econometrics. He has also
been a visiting professor in several universities in the USA, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Syria. Dr. Azzam is currently serving
as a board member for Misr Insurance Holding Company, the Egyptian Resorts Company, and Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) of
Belton Financial Group. He is also a member of the Ministerial Committee for Restructuring Egypt Air Holding Company.
Azzam worked as the CEO of the Private Equity Company for SMEs for several years. He is a founder and partner in Thekat
Financial Consultation Company. He worked as financial advisor at the Ministry of Investment, Mortgage Finance Authority,
and Capital Market Authority. He was on the board of several companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. He has many
publications in international financial journals.

13. Ahmed El Guindy is currently a Managing Director with EFG-Hermes. He served as the firm's Head of Investment Banking
Division (IBD) from 2012 to March 2016. During his term, Ahmed worked on expanding the divisionâs regional presence and
leading it to the top spot in Thomson Reuters Middle East ECM league table in 2015. He led the team to conclude several
high profile regional IPOâs including: Emaar Malls Group, Edita Food Industries, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Orascom
Construction Industries, Emaar Misr, Arabian Cement Company and Domty.
Other notable transactions included: the m merger between Al Mokhtabar and Al Borg to create Integrated Diagnostics
Holding (IDH), the sale of Dubai First to First Gulf Bank, the private placement of the Abu-Dhabi based Exceed Industries, the
sale of Fawry to a group of financial sponsors, the sale of El Rashidi El Mizan to Olayan Group and the acquisition of
Millennium Oil Services. He also led the execution of the capital increases of Palm Hills, SODIC and GB Auto.
Prior to heading the IBD, Ahmed was managing director covering the TMT and banking sectors. Notable transactions in the
telecom sector included: the Weather Investmentâs merger with VimpelCom; Actis acquisition of a minority stake in CIB, the
Mobinil bond issuance, Audi Bank acquisition of Cairo Far East Bank and the IPO of Telecom Egypt. Prior to joining EFG
Hermes in 2004, Ahmed worked as a Research Analyst at the World Bank Cairo Office, focusing on macroeconomic analysis.
