This document discusses bibliometric analysis that can be performed to support an upcoming external peer review of several graduate schools at Wageningen University in 2009. It provides an overview of bibliometric indicators that can be measured, such as the h-index, citation counts, and relative impact of publications. Examples are given of bibliometric data collected for different research groups and institutes. A process is outlined for collecting publication and citation data from the Web of Science database and integrating it with existing publication records to analyze research output and impact.
