especially in industry, as measured in terms of
the rate of output per unit of input.

Average output per period by the
total cost incurred or resources

Increasing Productivity
• Track and limit how much time you're spending on tasks
• Take regular breaks
• Set self-imposed deadlines
• Follow the "two-minute rule"
• Just say no to meetings
• Hold standing meetings
• Quit multitasking
Decreasing Productivity
• Poor supervision or communication
• Inconsistency
• Behaving inappropriately
• Lack of delegation
Productivity Can Be Improved
• Increasing outputs with same inputs
• Decreasing inputs but maintaining same outputs
• By increasing outputs and decreasing inputs to change
ratio favorably
SNS Enhancing Productivity
Management can effectively implement SNS and related policies if
they understand the needs of employees. Policies can be separated
by departments and social departments like HR to have more open
access while IT has less.
