It is no secret that the fintech industry is growing with each passing year. With the
upgrades in modern technology and industry know-how, the industry continues to soar.
However, there are quite a few startups and early-stage fintech startups that have entered
the space. With this hot industry being as crowded as it is, it may be a little hard to
separate the major players from the minor players. The startups in the space deserve
some more shine.

There is no doubt that there will be names in this piece that will be familiar. There will be

management. A great player in the fintech space is Wealthsimple.

Wealthsimple has made a couple of acquisitions in its history. Last year, it launched a bank
account with no fees and a spending account of over 2%. Another good firm in this space
is a company by the name of Habito. Habito is a platform that targeted homeowners and
tries to make the process of applying for mortgage applications.
Another notable investing platform is an app known as Wealthfront. Wealthfront has
received over 200 million dollars and opened a cash account for 2019 that offered an
interest rate that’s over 2%.
The class of wealth management systems is Betterment. Betterment is the most well-
known advisor that is sponsored by AI. As a result of its prowess, the company manages
billions of dollars in assets under its platform.
In terms of payment fintech providers, a great option is the Stripe platform. The Stripe
platform has made a lot of acquisitions during its existence. This platform has received
over $1 billion dollars in funding and it has been widely adopted. The entity has been used
by companies such as Google and Microsoft. It is also used by Amazon.
Another platform that has been widely adopted is Venmo. It is not unpopular to hear the
phrase: “Please Venmo me”. Venmo is a very popular platform with regard to P2P
payments. Firms that have adopted Venmo include Poshmark and Uber.
