This human quality gives rise to the need for positive motivation. An employee’s performance can be defined as being determined by the interaction between ability and motivation. Performance=Ability x Motivation The first(Ability) determines what he can do, the second (Motivation)determines what he will do. It drives us to work hard and pushes us to succeed. Motivation influences our behavior and our ability to accomplish goals. Motivation tools act as the glue that links individuals to organizational goals, In addition, make individuals go beyond the job and be creative. Motivation is important in business because it impacts mental and physical human reactions. Highly-motivated individuals and staff have a willingness to get the job done efficiently and effectively, resulting in higher productivity, increased revenue, cost savings and satisfied employees and business owners.

Our deep-rooted desires have the highest motivational power. Below are some examples: • Acceptance: We all need to feel that we, as well as our decisions, are accepted by our co-workers. • Curiosity: We all have the desire to be in the know. • Honor: We all need to respect the rules and to be ethical. • Independence: We all need to feel we are unique. • Order: We all need to be organized. • Power: We all have the desire to be able to have influence. • Social contact: We all need to have some social interactions. • Social Status: We all have the desire to feel important.
