3. COURSE GOALS
Learn English Tenses with Pleasure is a course that has been created for students
of English as a foreign or second language, who already have basic knowledge
of English.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE is to make learning tenses effective and
entertaining.
AFTER COMPLETING THIS COURSE STUDENTS WILL
learn the grammar

4. COURSE STRUCTURE 1
Lesson 1. Present Simple. In this lesson you will learn how to express every
day routines and repeated actions, describe laws of nature, timetables,
tell stories, do reviews in present.
Lesson 3. Present Perfect. In this lesson you will learn how to describe
an action how to describe an action which has recently finished and whose
result you can see in the present.
Lesson 4. Present Perfect Continuous. In this lesson you will learn
how to describe a long action which started in the past and continues up to
the present.
Lesson 2. Present Continuous. In this lesson you will learn how to describe
actions at the moment of speech, describe temporary actions, express
irritation, describe actions that we have already agreed to do in the near
future, describe changing or developing situations.
5. COURSE STRUCTURE 2
Lesson 5. Past Simple. In this lesson you will learn how to describe an
action which happened at a definite time in the past.
Lesson 6. Past Continuous. In this lesson you will learn how to describe
an action which was in progress at a stated time in the past; you will also
learn how to describe the atmosphere in the introduction to a story before
you describe the main events.
Lesson 7. Past Perfect. In this lesson you will learn how to learn how to
describe an action which happened before another past action or before a
stated time in the past and whose result was visible in the past.
Lesson 8. Past Perfect Continuous. In this lesson you will learn how to
emphasize the duration of an action which started and finished in the past
before another past action; how to describe an action which lasted for some time
in the past and whose result was visible in the past.

STRUCTURE 3
Lesson 9. Future Simple. In this lesson you will learn how to express
predictions, promises, threats, warnings, hopes and requests, on-the-spot
decisions and offers.
Lesson 10. Future Continuous. In this lesson you will learn how to
express an action which will be in progress at a stated future time; how to
ask politely about someone’s plans for the near future.
Lesson 11. Future Perfect. In this lesson you will learn how to describe an
action which will be finished before a stated future time.
Lesson 12. Future Perfect Continuous. In this lesson you will learn how
to emphasize the duration of an action up to a certain time in the future
7. Recommendations for working with
the distance learning course
When you first log in a distance course it is recommended to
enter your email address (e-mail). You do this to have a chance to
get notifications of all events you are interested in and to
communicate with the teacher and students. To master the
working plan for a week, for example Week 2 (you should take
one lesson per week), you are recommended to go through the
procedures according to the working plan for a week.

problems you have, while doing the lesson and get the tutor’s
answers to your questions. Best students’ works are going to be
upload in the Forum.
YOUR RATING Your maximum points is 100 for each lesson and
