4. It's a picture of a guy jumping off a
building and looking happy about
it. The joke being that he was happy
that he hadn't already fallen off the
building; it's about the folly of optimism
and optimists. Still having humor in his
eyes he says, At least I didn't fall off
yesterdaaaaaa. And that the whole
point. An optimist always sees the best
in every situation no matter what the
circumstances are.

5. “Optimists explain positive events as having happened because of them
(internal). They also see them as evidence that more positive things will
happen in the future (stable), and in other areas of their lives (global).
Conversely, they see negative events as not being their fault (external).
They also see them as being flukes (isolated) that have nothing to do with
other areas of their lives or future events (local).”
“Pessimists think in the opposite way. They believe that negative events
are caused by them (internal). They believe that one mistake means more
will come (stable), and mistakes in other areas of life are inevitable
(global), because they are the cause. They see positive events as flukes
(local) that are caused by things outside their control (external) and
probably won’t happen again (unstable).”
6. Being optimistic has many benefits. Optimists
tend to be:
Happier
Healthier
More popular
More successful

9. Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is
not the conviction that something will turn out well,
but the certainty that something makes sense,
regardless of how it turns out.
Vaclav Havel
One of the things I learned the hard way was that
it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy
and making optimism a way of life can restore
your faith in yourself.

10. Optimism can be simply
defined as a positive
MORE QUOTES attitude.
It involves expecting good
things to happen. It is a
fact that there is immense
power in positive thinking.
It is very important to
be optimistic as it is said
that optimistic people
generally live better,
happier more fulfilled lives.
Perhaps this is because
people who are optimistic
are highly motivated and
therefore achieve what

12. THE OPTIMIST’S WORLD VIEW
• All possibilities exist in the world.
• Every problem has a solution. If you don’t look for it ,
you won’t find it.
• Because of the belief that every problem has a
solution, new and creative strategies are often tried.
• Success is expected.
• The world is neither fair nor unfair. It simply is.
• While truly bad things can happen, they tend not to
happen in your personal world. On the occasion that
they do, the experience is ultimately viewed as an
opportunity to learn and grow.
• Optimistic beliefs will help create many more positive
outcomes in life because they help you to interpret
events realistically.
• Success is viewed as a result of effort, persistence,
and ability.
