This activity is to get educators that are new to blogging to have fun at learning the powerful of a blog. The objective is to get educators to incorporate the blog into their daily curriculum and enhance their home-school connection.

“Somebody is Following Me”
Rules:
1. You must have an active “Blogger” blog (The Google Blog created at the Staff Dev.)
(Active means others can see the blog. (Must have a “gmail” account)
2. Allow comments to be posted to your blog for this activity.
(You can moderate them if you wish)
3. Must COMPLETE ALL the challenge directions.
4. You are ALLOWED to ask for technical help for further understanding or setting up your blog.
Blog Challenge Activity Goal: Gain Followers for your blog
You will notice that I am your 1st or 2nd Blog Fan (Lol!)
Blog Challenge Activity Objectives:
 Learn what it means to have “Followers”
 Learn how to “Follow”
Blog Challenge Directions:
1. Go to the Techie Lab Teacher Blogspot and click the “Follow” button.
2. Go to the 157 Staff Development Blog and click the “Follow “ button.
3. Make sure you complete the entire process until you see an image icon that
shows your name when you hover over the icon.
4. Ask others to follow your blog. How?
 Give them your blog web address and ask them to follow your blog.
 Practice blogging etiquette and say, “If you follow me, I will follow you.”
 Your followers can be ANYBODY- teachers on campus, parents, friends, family, etc.)
Caution: If you have students following you, make sure you have parental permission.
The WINNER will be the blog with the MOST FOLLOWERS by Tuesday, Feb. 8th by 1:30pm (PST).
