IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEM
Done by Ansa Batool
Introduction:
The COVID-19 has affected education system worldwide leading to near total closures of
schools, colleges and universities institutions closures impact not only students, teachers and
families, but have foreign economic and societal consequences. When schools were forced to
close to avert the spread of the novel coronavirus, Pakistan stood up an educational channel.
Programmed with content for kindergarten through high school, it provides each grade one hour
of curriculum per day, so students have to watch in shifts.
Now, for millions of Pakistani schoolchildren, that single channel is their only access to
education. And even that channel isn’t available to everyone.
Pakistan already struggles to keep millions of children in school, and as partial shutdowns
continue, educators warn that enrollments could drop further. Some private-school students were
given study plans and extra coursework, but most Pakistani children — those who attend
government schools — were sent home with no further guidance.
“They said, ‘Keep them busy,’ but they didn’t provide us an outline to study, anything,” said
Kainat Nisar, a 24-year-old university student who suddenly found herself in charge of the
education of five nieces and nephews between the ages of 4 and 14.

Analysis of Survey.
Following are the graphs against each question of the survey, which are generated from the SPSS software
after gathering all responses and making the case and providing dataset (csv file) to analyses and see the
survey reports. Following reference file are also attached herewith generated by the SPSS for this Project.

of the pandemic?
7- Have certain activities been completely stopped and will resume only after
the end of the pandemic?
8- Has the pandemic caused an impact on student dropout compared to the
academic year before the Covid-19 pandemic?
9- How supported are you being with the transformation of face to face mode
to remote learning?
10- Has your institution changed curriculum due to consequence of covid-19
pandemic?

Conclusion:
This study on “IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEM” through the survey
conducted represents that, COVID-19 made a great impact on the education system in term of
activities, quality of education, curriculum and coordination and communication. This study
also shows that COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the implementation of the strategic plan at most
institutions which lead to the transformation of face to face mode to remote learning and many
participants are supportive of this transformation.
