house. After solving the ﬁnal puzzle which allows the player to escape the house,

When a group of Game developers came together to discuss the things they ﬁnd tricky to
develop, everyone agreed on X being the hardest to develop. X being quite common in the
real world, it is a big challenge for the developers to overcome and make X feel real.
In a game, a region has a navmesh (navigation mesh) which is used to tell a character
where it's allowed to walk around in a space. But when a character goes through X, he
moves from one mesh to another which increases the risk of getting ‘lost’ and causes all
sorts of bugs in the game. This is the reason why some game devs refrain from using Xs
