2. Problem Statement : Open Defecation Reporting
Solution/s:
Developing an SMS based reporting system through which a person
can report on the presence of open defecation problem at a certain
locality.
How will it work?
We have created an algorithm that will be able to understand the text
message in such a way that the first word of the text will be used to
identify location of the area where the action is spotted. The second
part will consist of the report content i.e. the open defecation action.

4. •Why will people use this solution?
It is efficient (Less time consumption(Quick reporting), the only
effort needed is to text and the service is free ). This will in turn
help to save lives, increase economic stability (wont go to hosp,
time for production)
Users of the system will be given incentives
Desire to eradicate the problem
Alternative being used at present on reporting open defecation
involves; Members of the community reporting to their ‘Mjumbe’
(ten-cell unit leaders) who then follows a long procedure until the
problem is addressed.
