3. The right personnel for the right position is
a sure bet for organizational effectiveness
and efficiency.
Man in management is referred as a
human resource.
People make sure materials, machines,
money and methods are utilized in a
productive manner to achieve goals and
objectives of organizations.
5. Materials is a basic ingredient in house keeping
management, a service industry. Most of the industry
locate them self nearby to the availability of material.
Without materials, human resource is made
redundant.
Thus every right thinking and right planning
organization knows that materials needed for any
business or service mist be in place before ‘man’ can
be of use in any business activity. Supply chain
departments grew out of this thinking and has been a
very useful and effective aspect of business
management.
6. Benefits
• Material cost can be lowered down
• Controlling of indirect cost
• Control of manufacturing cycle
• Improvement in delivery of the product
8. In a hospital, materials management has
become a distinct function. Depending on the size of
the hospital it could be a separate department or in a
smaller set up it could be under the care of the
Manager. Materials in a hospital range from
consumables, stationery to even equipments besides
the pharmaceuticals and optical goods.
Materials Management is an essential part of
any organization. Especially in a hospital, Materials
Management Department plays a vital role in the
smooth and efficient function of it. It means the
management of materials likes planning, purchasing,
store & inventory control, care and preservation, issue
of materials, accounting and disposal of scrap. It is in
direct touch with the user department in its day-to-day
activities.
9. The most important purpose served by stores
is to provide an uninterrupted service to the various
user departments. In the case of a hospital we can
say the “Operation Theatre, Wards, Specialty Clinics,
Units, Refraction Departments, Registration,
Admission Departments” are the user departments.
The successful and efficient functioning of a
department depends mainly upon how best the
materials are supplied by stores department to them.
Further stores often equated directly with money, as
materials have money value.
11. Machine are the basic tools to produce
goods or to generate services.
Selection of an appropriate machine not
only enhances efficiency but also saves
times and increases revenue.
Machines have made man fulfill almost
effortlessly various dreams of creating
things that make a existence more
worthwhile.
12. eg . Tools and equipment in laboratory
Microscope:
Microscopes are used to produce magnified
images of small objects such as bacteria etc.
Centrifuge:
A machine with a rapidly rotating container
that applies centrifugal force to its contents,
typically to separate fluids of different
densities (e.g., plasma from blood) or liquids
from solids.
15. The Command and Control form of
management is based on military
management.
Primarily, the idea is that people do what you
tell or direct them to do.
For instance, management in a medical field
is directed by few managers such as;
Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager
and Reception Manager to the co-workers.
17. First of all, nobody actually like to be
commanded and controlled.
Management literally does not have enough
time to micromanage at this level, because
there simply aren’t enough managers.
The third drawback is that in a medical
organisations, the individual contributors
such as the doctors, nurses, and medical
officers and etc always have more
information than the “leaders,” so they are
really in the best position to make decisions.
19. The goal here is to manage by making
people identify with the goals you’re trying to
achieve.
For instance, a medical body or organization
tries to achieve a certain target level, thus the
service must be targetted to the certain level.
A lot trickier than other methods, it requires
some serious interpersonal skills. But if you
do it right, it works better than any other
method.
20. In general, Identity Management requires you
to create a cohesive, jelled team that feels
like a family, so that people have a sense of
loyalty and commitment to their coworkers.
In a medical organization such as a hospital,
the crews must have a strong identity in each
one of them to create a steadfast
commitment towards each other.
The second part, though, is to give people
the information they need to steer the
organization in the right direction.
22. Meaning
A medium that can be exchanged for
goods and services and is used as a
measure of their values on the market
23. Without money, no venture or enterprise
can motivate workers, get quality and
sufficient materials, get the right
machines and maintain them or even
ensure that time is properly
managed. Where there is not enough
money, no good workers, materials, or
machines can be employed or
purchased.
25. Explanation
Mostly MRI machine is use at the
private clinics or private hospitals
If the private hospitals don’t have
money so it can’t buy MRI machine.
26. Uses in Medical field

most parts of the body.
It is commonly used to get detailed
pictures of the brain and spinal cord, to
detect abnormalities and tumours.
torn ligaments around joints also can be
detected by an MRI scan.
So, it’s being used more and more
following sports injuries.
