De- Moros whose mother was Hungarian & father,
Russian. She married to Vikram Khanolkar & changed her
name to Savitri Bai Khanolankar when she moved to
India. She was a designer, best known for designing the
X. Savitri turned to Hindu mythology for inspiration for
the design of the X. She choose a simple purple ribbon &
the motif of Rishi Dhadichi. The X has 4 replicas of Indra's
vajra, made from Dhadichi's bones representing his
supreme sacrifice. Coincidentally the first X was awarded
to her elder daughter Kumudini's brother in law Y.
