Fluid Mechanics Ltd Micro SME founded in 1997 specialising in hydraulic and pneumatics system design and analysis. We have developed a constant temperature (isothermal) gas compressor and expander technology.
Improved refrigeration and cooling Developed new method of refrigeration. • significantly more energy efficient • doesn’t use ozone depleting or hazardous gases • reduced health and safety risks Proof-of-concept model
Success to date Demonstrated refrigeration system works with inert gases such as air and helium. Demonstrated improved energy efficiency.
What next? The next Prototype: • increased power density • improved reliability
We’re looking for… Financial and industrial assistance to develop next stage prototype. Industrial partners interested in licensing the technology.

  • 2. Fluid Mechanics Ltd Micro SME founded in 1997 specialising in hydraulic and pneumatics system design and analysis. We have developed a constant temperature (isothermal) gas compressor and expander technology.
  • 3. Improved refrigeration and cooling Developed new method of refrigeration. • significantly more energy efficient • doesn’t use ozone depleting or hazardous gases • reduced health and safety risks Proof-of-concept model
  • 4. Success to date Demonstrated refrigeration system works with inert gases such as air and helium. Demonstrated improved energy efficiency.
  • 5. What next? The next Prototype: • increased power density • improved reliability
  • 6. We’re looking for… Financial and industrial assistance to develop next stage prototype. Industrial partners interested in licensing the technology.
