In the container ecosystem, there is perhaps no technology that has received more focus and attention than orchestration and scheduling. Mesos, Kubernetes, and Swarm have established themselves as the leading technology choices in this space. In this talk, Sheng will discuss what he learned from working directly with hundreds of users who have deployed one of these frameworks. He will look at how these frameworks will continue to evolve and if there’re any gaps and opportunities in container orchestration and scheduling. Sheng will make a case that there are still room for innovation and new orchestration and scheduling frameworks will be created in the future. He will discuss what new frameworks might look like--the features, functionalities, and attributes that differentiate them from the mainstream frameworks today.
