SBA Minority Certified General Contractor performing civil, electrical and mechanical construction for federal, state and
local entities.
Diversity Director & Project Superintendent - Gaillard Performance Arts Center (in association with
Skanska/Trident) (2012 – Present)
Directed the execution of the MWBE plan and LEED initiative for this $140M World Class LEED Certified
Facility. Resulted in successfully meeting the companies 30% minority participation objective and meeting the
criteria for a LEED certified facility.
Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives for 100+ employees including recruiting, screening and hiring,
training and onboarding. Reports to Senior Management Team on progress assessments and best
practices.
Led the process for including diversity in the company mission statement, resulting in exceeding
organization and government diversity goals for 4 consecutive years leading to $42M in diversity
contracts.
Successfully added 50 new partnerships with Minority Owned Businesses to the City of Charleston’s list
of approved and certified contractors. First and largest Public/Private Partnership (PPP) the City of
Charleston has ever been involved in (City contributed $71M and Guillard Private Foundation $71M.)
Led ongoing outreach campaign in minority communities to identify, screen and vet nominees before
presenting them for consideration. Achieved 98% compliance with MWBE goals.
Advocate for the use of MOB with Senior Managers and communicated regularly on progress.
Won “Skanska Diversity Week” South East Division Competition Annual Award for producing and
implementing a Diversity Week Program for the Skanska-Trident Team at Gaillard Performance Center.
Selected, oversee and supervise Minority Company (Paragon General Trade subcontractors) night shift
of 15 men, increasing minority contract from $3.5M to $5M in one year.
Serve as liaison and subject matter expert to all the company affiliate groups on diversity issues
Track diversity progress regarding Commercial Useful Function (CUF) each quarter and submitted
MWBE Monthly Report tracking dollars awarded. Coordinate reports with Project Accountant and
participate in Owners/Architect/Contractors (OAC) meetings every two weeks.
Partner with the Manager of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) for the City of Charleston to ensure
compliance with all governmental diversity goals and objectives.
Develop and implement cultural diversity events and programming including guest speakers, cultural
awareness luncheons, and training workshops, increasing employee motivation and morale.
Manage all LEED initiatives resulting in 82% waste management and successful LEED certification.

Implemented Quick Pay and Joint Checks to expedite payments to suppliers and contractors. Also
changed City of Charleston policy for local residency requirements which expanded the pool of eligible
minority contractors.

Promoted the hiring of a diversity manager for company.
Senior Project Manager (2011 – 2012)
Managed and supervised the removal of three inactive Underground Storage fuel tanks (UST) and
completion of the UST Closure assessment reports at the Joint Base Charleston- Naval Weapon
Station in Goose Creek, SC.
Led the building of 3100 square footage of tenant space for Bikram Yoga Studio including complete
demolition and total tenant up-fit. Project cost was $327,259 and was successfully completed in 14
weeks in Hilton Head, SC. Result: Utilized 100% minority subcontractors
