For years, language was the single most overlooked piece of the design process. We spent weeks whiteboarding and wireframing and mocking up an experience only to fill it with lines of lorem ipsum and say that we’d worry about the words later. Over the last five to ten years, that’s changed. We’ll discuss how UX writing came to be, the role of UX writers in creating great products, and what to do (and not to do) if you want to make language part of your design process.
This talk was given in Tokyo on 12 July 2018.
