For example, in the Western East/West the baby boomer population was 0.91 percent larger in 2010, while the millennial population was 1.45 percent larger in 2016. • We expect millennials to continue gaining ground on baby boomers leading up to the 2020 Census, as they look to start families in the suburbs over the upcoming years. • Will companies making a move downtown anticipate this shift by retaining a presence in the suburbs, or will they look to executive suites and co-working spaces to house their suburban bound employees until the trends are more pronounced?
