This slideshow presents data to support the stance that Twitter is reaching its peak. To read about the opposite take, check out this opposing stance: http://slidesha.re/TwitterDyingNO

3. FACT:
According to the Pew
Center, 66% of Americans say
they are using social networks
such as Facebook or LinkedIn.
Of those 66%, only 15% use
Twitter.
Source: Pew Report 3
5. Although Twitter has 100
million active users, the site’s
usage is still decently low in
comparison to other networks.
This suggests that Twitter’s
health is not as stable as a
platform of its age should be.
6. FACT:
According to the Pew Center, as
of February 2012, 15% of adult
internet users use Twitter. That’s
only slightly increased from 13%
last May.
Source: Pew Report6
8. Although Twitter usage is
increasing, it is extremely
plausible that the 15% using
Twitter now are the same
users who used it previously.
Growth is inconsistent and
stagnant, suggesting interest
in Twitter is not increasing.
