Some members of Star Alliance paint some of their aircraft in Star
Alliance livery, which generally features a white fuselage with
the “Star Alliance” signature written across and a black tailfin
with the Star Alliance logo; the color or design of the engine
cowlings or winglets depends on a specific member’s livery.
The only exception is Singapore Airlines, which once chose to
paint the aircraft’s tails with the airline logo, and now applies the
Star Alliance logo on the black tailfin painting, leaving the front
outline white.
The first Star Alliance airline to paint its aircraft in the current
Star Alliance livery was Asiana Airlines.
Aircraft painted in the airlines’ own livery have the Star Alliance
logo painted between the cockpit and the front door.
The Star Alliance logo has a width of 70 cm (28 in.).
80 aircraft are currently painted in Star Alliance livery.
