I originally trained as a psychologist, working for several years as a domestic violence counsellor and victim-offender mediator. Professional partnerships included statutory and voluntary agencies, such as the Police, Probation and Social Services, as well as Victim Support, the Judiciary and the Prison Service. I then undertook full-time drama training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as a mature student.
