Our artist for this assignment is Chase Miracles and can be found at:

2. Identify one well-known artist that is similar to your artist and that would likely
share a target audience.
A well-known artist we believe is like Chase Miracles is Tinashe. Both Chase and Tinashe
combine singing and rapping while ultimately sticking to an R&B, Pop oriented style in
their music (Marcelo, 2022). Both artists are also skilled in songwriting and dancing,
incorporating these in their artistry throughout the years (Thompson, 2015). Their styles
embody power and freedom, allowing their audience to understand they can take control
of their craft as well as “celebrating everything special about being a woman” (O’Neal,
2021).
Answer the questions in the “TARGET AUDIENCE” section below for your artist’s
audience based on research into the well-known artist that you have identified.

TARGET AUDIENCE
3. Target Audience - Demographics:
In 1 or 2 well-written paragraphs, provide information regarding the
target audience’s age (5-10 age year range), relevant social communities

Chase Miracles’ target audience ranges from both male and female
from the ages of 17 to 30. Chase is involved in the urban music scene
immersing herself in places such as the Little Caesers Arena in Detroit,
Michigan, Atlanta, Georgia and Los Angeles, California. Chase has
developed her brand, music visuals and creative style in all of these places
aligning herself with producers, engineers and visual directors to optimize
the experience for her audience through quality sound and visuals
(Ballinger, 2022). Chase Miracles also launched her tour in October of this
year titled the “Free Press Tour” out of Royal Oak, Michigan which was
sponsored by House of Classics Records, The Apply Pressure Collection,
LLC. and Yah Hayah (Instagram, 2022).
Chase Miracles’ target audience is prone to have passions for music
and fashion as well as her, for they attend open mic events, fashion shows
and music video shoots. They are individuals who are members and
contribute to Detriotrap.com which is a Hip-Hop/Rap influenced platform
that promotes and curate's events surrounding the genre. Her target
audience is also consistent with their fashion choices and styling, wearing
brands like Moncler, AKIRA, and Fashion Nova.

Chase Miracles is a singer songwriter who utilizes the influences of
rap and hip-hop to create her overall sound. From Detroit, MI, Chase has a
passion for music & fashion. Chase embodies feminism in her music,
encouraging fans to express themselves. She travels often to Atlanta and
Los Angeles to further expand her fanbase and embarked on her “Free
Press Tour” in October of this year, out of Royal Oak, MI where she
performed records, “Go In”, “Space”, “Lil’ Miss” and her latest single,
“PPP”.
6. Primary Platforms
Identify at least 3 online platforms (examples: Instagram, Twitch,
SoundCloud) that you feel will be crucial to the success of your artist
based on their music, personality, strengths, fan habits, and the success
of similar artists.
List the 3 platforms you have chosen below and prove a minimum 2-
sentence description for each regarding why you feel that platform is
important and why your artist could thrive there.
Instagram – I believe Chase Miracles has already started a strong
following on Instagram, for she showcases her different passions and
skillsets which include dance, fashion, and music. I believe if she
continues to be consistent with her content, it can propel her to the next
level in her career, for investors are able to see a wide range of what she
does as opposed to limited options.
Spotify – Chase is already releasing music on streaming platforms, for if
she continues her brand consistency and development of sound, Spotify
can be a huge breakthrough platform for her. Also, being included in
Spotify playlists allows artists to be further discovered for this would be
beneficial for her and her career to have some of her music be featured on
these playlists.
PREQUEL – The PREQUEL App allows creatives to upload and edit their
images while also having a timeline and/or feed. Users can follow each
other, comment, and even share each other’s images on other platforms.
Chase Miracles utilizes the app to edit a lot of her photos, and if she
remains consistent with the platform, it may give her and her audience
another outlet to get to know her and her music even more.

GETTING TO KNOW THE ARTIST:

Please elaborate and provide specific details, considering things like particular lyrics that
grabbed you or got them attention, influences, other artists they get compared to, etc.
1. Singing and/or Rapping – Chase Miracles is skilled in both singing and rapping, for
she incorporates both throughout her records. She exploits her singing for her
hooks and melodies while still having a strong sense of rap with her witty lyrics.
These come to Chase’s advantage for she elaborates the feelings of independence
and feminism through both singing and rapping. It allows listeners to have a
calming experience but at the same time being able to dab into the affirmative
tone of her raps. Her musical style can be comparted to those of Tinashe, Jhené
Aiko and Tink, for she combines rhymes and melodies to express her soulful
journey of love, feminism, and empowerment.
2. Look and/or Aesthetic – Chase Miracles expresses herself and her brand through
her exquisite fashion choices. She makes it her business to find unique pieces by
collaborating with brands such as the Apply Pressure Collection & Yah Hayah
Clothing. Chase doesn’t limit herself when it comes to her fashion choices, for she
utilizes a mixture of fur coats and short skirts matching them with knee-high boots
and stockings. Furthermore, Chase remains consistent with her brand and topics
that define her through her outfits which embody power and independence.
3. Modeling – Chase Miracles doesn’t limit herself, at all. She is also skilled in her
modeling, for she consistently demonstrates these through her content on social
media. Chase showcases her modeling skills through her Instagram and PREQUEL
feeds to add on to her artistry. Chase Miracles models for her cover arts as well as
promotional photo shoots and is attentive to tagging modeling agencies such as
Wilhelmina Models & Ford Models.

1. Recording/Producing – Chase Miracles has consistently maintained her records to
be of quality. She makes sure she aligns herself with prominent producers and
engineers to do so. Chase travels from Detroit, MI to Los Angeles, CA to properly
record and engineer her upcoming records. She has worked with producers such
as Smitty Soul and engineers such as Mike Wyatt.
2. Touring/Booking Themselves – Chase launched her own solo tour out of Royal
Oak, Michigan titled the “Free Press Tour”. She aligned herself with brands that
later supported her through sponsorships including the House of Classics, LLC., the
Apply Pressure Collection and Yah Hayah Clothing brand. Chase also collaborated
with other up and coming artists such as Leah Envy Lele, Zoe Moove & CLASS. The
“Free Press Tour” also featured vendors such as 2 Piece Savage, Hey Luff! & Top
Shelf or Die.
3. Publicity – Chase Miracles does publicity for herself and for other brands. Through
her music, fashion and modeling she collaborates with brands and promotes them
through her social media platforms. While Instagram is her most prominent
platform, she leads her audience to the accounts of these brands which include:
The Pose Experience, Detroit Rap & The Paper Gallery. By doing publicity for these,
Chase has grown her social media audience amassing 10.9K followers on
Instagram to date.
ARTIST SWOT ANALYSIS
To evaluate your chosen artist, write 4 sentences describing each element of a SWOT
analysis. (Total of 16 sentences) Please provide a minimum of 2 specific examples of

1. Strengths – Chase Miracles is able to release any genre of music as an independent
artist, since the release of her R&B/Soul album “Audio Therapy, Vol.1” the style of
new music released is considerably heavy hip-hop influences. Also, as an
independent artist Chase Miracles has the comfort of reaching an audience
specific to her liking. She has affiliations with companies such as DetroitRap.com,
Derrick Dollah Jones, and various recording studios mainly across the Detroit
regional landscape and states such as California and Georgia. A key internal
strength that our artist possesses is a silent partner that acts as an Agent in regard
to locating potential venues for the artist to perform.
2. Weaknesses – Our artist does not have a team to help with structuring the proper
channels for developing revenue. Being able to release any genre of music can
significantly alter the target market group or fanbase for the artist. Sticking to
what the artist has curated as a support group can be managed best with a clear
genre in mind. Having multiple affiliations can lead to conflicts of interest within
the artist development process.
3. Opportunities – Instagram is a platform that our artist is very familiar with and
uses as a platform to showcase musical talent, fashion and dance. This platform
can be utilized as a funnel to multiple media channels where the artist can
promote upcoming shows, merchandise, and dance courses. Spotify is also a
platform for marketing through artist playlist and leaves potential sync licensing
opportunities available.
4. Threats – With the idea of ancillary pay as an addition to an artist portfolio that
can be favorable to big labels for partnership deals, our artist has not created any
other revenue channels. With examples like Rihanna and her X Fenty brand, Gwen
Stefani founded L.A.M.B. a fashion line, and Queen Latifah
musician/Actress/President of Flavor Unit Productions. Fandom is also a key factor
in competing with bigger digital audiences similar to Beyoncé “Bey-Hive” and
Rihanna “Navy” fan groups.

STRENGTH 1 – Potential Revenue Sources
1. Use social media sites such as Instagram and TikTok to promote her music and
gain monetization through those apps.
2. Crowdfunding – being able to earn revenue and bring fans along on her music
making journey and seeing her creative process
3. Create and put vinyl’s up for sale. Vinyl's have had a huge increase in sales and a
survey from Spotify showed that vinyl's were the top merch choice across almost
every genre.
STRENGTH 2 – Potential Revenue Sources
1. Book live shows. Having a connection to finding venues to perform is a great
advantage to have as a smaller artist.
2. Sell merch. At these live shows she can sell shirts, posters, and those vinyl's, and
gain two revenue streams at once.
3. Collect live performance royalties. If performing original music at a licensed venue,
the Performing Rights Organization pays the songwriter royalties for the
performances.

1. Hire a manager. This way, she’ll be able to have someone handle all her revenue
streams and help promote her music more.
2. Hire an agent to help handle any bookings. This way she can potentially book more
live appearances and an agent can help make sure she’s getting the best deal.

1. As a smaller artist still trying to gain a bigger following, it’s important to stick with
one music genre to help establish herself as an artist.
2. She should pick the genre that she feels most drawn to and enjoys making and
recording. This way, her music will be more authentic, which fans like to see, and
can gain a bigger following. Her fans will share her music and spread her name
because they feel strongly about her music.

Chase Miracles and Fashion Nova would be included to form an agreement for promotion
of the brand. This is a goal for it would further expand Chase’s revenue by serving as an
ambassador to Fashion Nova. Promoting the brand will allow Chase to generate more
revenue given the brand has a large audience and influence already.

effort is on par, given Chase Miracles is no stranger and passionate to promoting fashion
brands and modeling throughout her journey as an artist.

We’re setting this goal now to give us enough time and to be prepared to be declined. In

immerse Chase into the fashion realm of social media. By achieving this, it would not only
increase Chase Miracles’ revenue generation but also increase her audience. By pairing her
with Fashion Nova both her revenue and audience will increase and be exposed to a newer
demographic.

the brand is constantly looking for talent for promotions. Potential obstacles include those of
being denied the request or not being able to get in-touch with the brand due to high
amounts of request already being sent their way. A solution for this would be to showcase
Chase Miracles’ history with promoting for fashion brands and modeling, or to reach out to
another fashion outlet.

Our goal is to obtain a partnership for our artist Chase Miracles with a fashion brand Fashion

would be beneficial to potentially collaborate with Sharron given her influence on the
platform. This goal would allow Chase to further build her content creation as well as
expanding her audience on the platform to match the following she holds on other social-
media platforms.

needed. Our artist Chase Miracles already has these, for she is consistent with her music
releases though we would have to work on consistency for the specific platform, Tik Tok. The
motivation for this goal is to immerse our artist into the ever-growing audience of Tik Tok to
expand her content creation. The amount of effort is on par, for our artist enjoys content
creation for she can channel her records, style and journey with her fanbase.

platform, this timeframe would allow chase to focus on the goal which ultimately would
motivate her to create more content.

videos that specifically target Chase Miracles’ demographic as well as including non-explicit
sections of her records on the content being created.

executive and radio personality, would further support this goal. Reasons for that being is we
could place Chase Miracles for interviews with him as well as getting her records played on
the radio, for it would reach a larger demographic. This is a goal due to the fact it would
reach her already existing fanbase as well as giving others the opportunity to getting to know
her.

Chase Miracles currently has experience with live performances and releasing records
meaning she has a fanbase and a following curated. While these skills are highly important,
we haven’t seen her do interviews sharing her artistic journey or her songs being played on
radio. We believe our artist has the skills to do so, for she has enough experience and records
as an up-and-coming artist to sit down, share and be played on radio. The motivation
behind this goal is to book an interview and/or to get her records played on the radio to
further expand her audience.

RELEVANT
Setting this goal now will allow us to properly prepare for it to work, or not. This goal would
serve our artist’s long-term career objectives for radio programmers will get to know her with
recent records as well as reaching a larger audience. If it doesn’t work now, it would still give
us time to continue working on the goal prior to the 1-year deadline. Furthermore, this would
contribute to the goal for being played on radio and having an interview with such influence
would reach an audience that hasn’t heard of Chase Miracles before.

The deadline seems realistic to reach out to the media personality. We feel it’s realistic, for
the host is constantly searching for emerging talent to interview and give feedback on
already released records. Potential obstacles we might face are those of not being able to
get a hold of the gatekeeper or to be denied the request. A solution for this would be to
reach out directly to the radio station, Hot 97, or to find another media and radio personality
to approach the idea to.

Our goal is to broaden our artist Chase Miracles’ audience growth by placing her on
interviews and radio stations that are influential to her demographic.
6- MONTH REVENUE GENERATION

IDEA We want our artist to perform more live shows and get paid to broaden her live performance
experience and have more stage-based performances.

SPECIFIC
Chase Miracles has done several live performances so far, but they’ve been very small
intimate performances usually just in a room with some people around. We’d like her to
perform at an actual venue with a stage to gain more experience. We want her to get paid
for a live performance. We’d like to have a performance booked at Fifth Avenue bar in
Royal Oaks, Michigan 6 months from now. Our gatekeeper will be the event specialist that
works for the bar. They will help with organizing the event and making deals for payment.
This is a goal because this is a chance for her to perform in front of a larger audience and
gain more fans.

ARTIST MANAGEMENT – Artist Selection, Target Audience Profile, and Artist Analysis + SMART Goals Template David “iTsPrafit” Smith Artist: Chase Miracles FOUNDATION David Smith - Top 3 Strengths: Visual, Musical, & Kinesthetic. 1. Review the artist requirements in FSO and select an independent artist based on the given criteria. Provide the artist’s name and at least one website where I can check out their music and/or look and aesthetic. Our artist for this assignment is Chase Miracles and can be found at: https://www.instagram.com/chasemiracles/?hl=en 2. Identify one well-known artist that is similar to your artist and that would likely share a target audience.
  • 3. A well-known artist we believe is like Chase Miracles is Tinashe. Both Chase and Tinashe combine singing and rapping while ultimately sticking to an R&B, Pop oriented style in their music (Marcelo, 2022). Both artists are also skilled in songwriting and dancing, incorporating these in their artistry throughout the years (Thompson, 2015). Their styles embody power and freedom, allowing their audience to understand they can take control of their craft as well as “celebrating everything special about being a woman” (O’Neal, 2021). Instagram – I believe Chase Miracles has already started a strong following on Instagram, for she showcases her different passions and skillsets which include dance, fashion, and music. I believe if she continues to be consistent with her content, it can propel her to the next level in her career, for investors are able to see a wide range of what she

Spotify – Chase is already releasing music on streaming platforms, for if she continues her brand consistency and development of sound, Spotify can be a huge breakthrough platform for her. Also, being included in Spotify playlists allows artists to be further discovered for this would be beneficial for her and her career to have some of her music be featured on these playlists. PREQUEL – The PREQUEL App allows creatives to upload and edit their images while also having a timeline and/or feed. Users can follow each other, comment, and even share each other’s images on other platforms. Chase Miracles utilizes the app to edit a lot of her photos, and if she remains consistent with the platform, it may give her and her audience another outlet to get to know her and her music even more. 7. Talents Choose at least 3 talents out of the list below that apply to your chosen artist and write 4 sentences describing each talent (total of 12 sentences). Please elaborate and provide specific details, considering things like particular lyrics that grabbed you or got them attention, influences, other artists they get compared to, etc. 1. Singing and/or Rapping – Chase Miracles is skilled in both singing and rapping, for she incorporates both throughout her records. She exploits her singing for her hooks and melodies while still having a strong sense of rap with her witty lyrics. These come to Chase’s advantage for she elaborates the feelings of independence and feminism through both singing and rapping. It allows listeners to have a calming experience but at the same time being able to dab into the affirmative tone of her raps. Her musical style can be comparted to those of Tinashe, Jhené Aiko and Tink, for she combines rhymes and melodies to express her soulful journey of love, feminism, and empowerment. 2. Look and/or Aesthetic – Chase Miracles expresses herself and her brand through her exquisite fashion choices. She makes it her business to find unique pieces by collaborating with brands such as the Apply Pressure Collection & Yah Hayah Clothing. Chase doesn’t limit herself when it comes to her fashion choices, for she

Chase showcases her modeling skills through her Instagram and PREQUEL feeds to add on to her artistry. Chase Miracles models for her cover arts as well as promotional photo shoots and is attentive to tagging modeling agencies such as Wilhelmina Models & Ford Models. Also, as an independent artist Chase Miracles has the comfort of reaching an audience specific to her liking. She has affiliations with companies such as DetroitRap.com, Derrick Dollah Jones, and various recording studios mainly across the Detroit regional landscape and states such as California and Georgia. A key internal strength that our artist possesses is a silent partner that acts as an Agent in regard to locating potential venues for the artist to perform. 2. Weaknesses – Our artist does not have a team to help with structuring the proper channels for developing revenue. Being able to release any genre of music can significantly alter the target market group or fanbase for the artist. Sticking to what the artist has curated as a support group can be managed best with a clear genre in mind.
