Public Relations Case Assignment
Media Release for a Not for Profit
READ this media release about the #AidForAfghanistan campaign.
ANSWER the following questions as briefly and specifically as possible:
1. What is/are the key message(s)? (BRIEFLY in bullets; each message should be less
than one sentence)
2. Who is the primary audience for the release? Can you describe the audience?
3. What objective does the release serve? Indicate if informational, motivational and/or
behavioral.
4. In this case, is the news release the best format for the information? Why/why not? (Be
as specific as possible)
5. Can you search on Twitter (or other social media channel) to find any historical tweets
that may relate to the release? If you find something relevant, please share links and
screenshots.
6. Can you find any media articles which were written in relation to the release? What's the
difference between the media article and the release? Provide the link.
7. Can you find an update regarding this case? Was the objective of the release met?
Provide any links to back up your points.
