2. My audience for my media product are teenagers between
the ages of 16-18. My audience is represented through the
kind of language I used. I used formal language throughout
but there are some elements of colloquialism in my contents
page and double page spread.
I was able to decide on my audience and what to include in
my product through my R&B magazine survey. This is the
research method I used.
3. The location I took my pictures in for my contents page and
double page spread in particular, differed to my front cover and
to where professional magazine photo shoots normally take
place.
For my cover, I took the photo in a professional setting but the
other shots for my contents page and double page spread, I did
it outside against a brick wall to symbolize an edgy and street
feel to my magazine since teenage audience are generally quite
edgy in character and are stereotypically associated more with
the street. I chose to do this because it will help my target
audience relate to the individuals in the magazine.
4. The clothing I used for my mise-en-scene on my models best
represented my R&B theme. It also connects to the street
theme for my artists featured on the double page spread.
For my cover, I used a more sophisticated mise-en-scene for
teenagers that are quite chic.
My magazine targets the market demographic because the
masthead I used links to my genre and I included the main
attributes of an R&B magazine for example and interview of
an upcoming artist and a popular artist which is the focus of
my DPS.
5. My ideal readership profile
