To succeed, an organisation needs the right people, in the right place, doing the right things - nothing more. It should be simple, but as humans we've created complexity. The same factors that caused the complexity are now helping us to create a more human future where organisations and workplaces are built around people. We have the unique opportunity today to focus on people, use trust as a starting point, then create just enough structure to succeed - I call it freedom within parameters. By doing this we can create amazing organisations with workplaces that thrive. There are people out there doing it already, but others are still getting it very wrong! I presented these slides at the Lisbon Workplace Conference 2015 and will share them in Barcelona and Madrid too. They're a (very) brief outline of the ideas that make me believe that the future of work is simple, better, more human.
