4. My Social Media Life
According To Others
I asked my Twitter followers to describe me in three
words and I got three responses. I got the words:
beautiful, loving, wonderful, loud, funny, outgoing,
nice, and sarcastic. I think I got these words because I
post funny and sarcastic quotes. I stand up for my
friends if they get bullied which explains nice, loving,
outgoing, and wonderful. Also I post a lot of pictures
of me and selfies which explains beautiful.
5. Are The Others Right?
I think that the words my followers/friends used to
describe me are pretty accurate. On social media I
don’t pretend to be anyone or try and build myself up
to be something greater than who I am. I am a very
caring and loving person as well as outgoing. I am nice
and loud as well as sarcastic and funny. I cant say that
the person who called me beautiful was accurate
because beauty to me is in the eye of the beholder, to
that one friend/follower I am beautiful.
6. Here’s What I Like
I like helping people that get cyber bullied
7. How Can I Use It To Make
A Change Using Social
Media?
I plan on posting on my Twitter and Instagram about
cyber bullying to help people gain knowledge on cyber
bullying
Leave my phone number/email on all my social media
sites for people to reach me if they are being bullied and
want to talk
Put the Silence Hurts phone number and Suicide hotline
number on my profile if people need it
8. Head (Logical)
I would change social media to set up rules on how people act
towards one another so that cyber bullying is no longer an issue.
Only 1 in 10 teenagers tell their parents if they have been a
victim of cyber bullying
95% of social media-using teens who have witnessed cruel
behavior on social networking sites say they have seen others
ignoring the mean behavior
Only 7% of U.S. parents are worried about cyber bullying, even
though 33% of teenagers have been victims of cyber bullying
9. Heart (Emotional)
Others I think would support my position because at
some point in everyone’s life they have gotten bullied.
No one likes the feeling of being bullied so why not try
and stop others from feeling the same way. Everyone
would benefit if others supported my change because
no one would get teased or bullied.
10. Who’s Your Audience?
My Audience is everyone, but more focused on teens.
This audience might believe statistics, photo proof of cyber bullying,
or even personal stories of people being cyber bullied.
The behavior of this audience might be a little rebellious and
confused, being a teen is hard. Teens are going through puberty and
their bodies and minds are changing and for some people it is hard.
My audience might assume that my topic is stupid or unnecessary.
They might think its dumb and that “No one really is hurt by cyber
bullying.”
I can gain my audience’s support by showing stories of real people
who have been cyber bullied and been affected by it. I can show
videos of people who have been cyber bullied and videos of those
people’s families.
11. Who’s Not Your Audience?
My audience is not senior citizens.
Senior citizens have matured enough to not want to be rude and hurt
another persons feelings.
This audience might believe that cyber bullying is not an issue and people
should not waste their time worrying about it.
Typical behavior of this audience is calm and rational, they think before
they speak or post.
This audience might assume that my topic is unnecessary. That people
shouldn’t be hurt by words or be afraid of someone hiding behind a
computer screen.
I can gain this audience’s support by showing them that people really are
affected from cyber bullying and that it really does hurt people,
sometimes even more than physical bullying.
12. What’s Your Approach?
I will post videos on my social media profiles of
people being cyber bullied so people see how bad it
can hurt someone
I will hold seminars about cyber bullying and post
the invitation on my social media profiles
I will have pictures of people being cyber bullied so
people can see the affect it has on people
13. Is This The End?
My intended change was to stop people from being
cyber bullied.
My target Audience was teenagers and I tried to get
them involved by posting videos, seminars, and photos
on my social media profiles.
This is not the end of my project, I plan on continuing
to spread awareness on cyber bullying so that no one
has to go through it.
