2. Plastic garbage all over the world
The phenomenon of plastic pollution is a very important
and serious matter. It is about the mistreatment of plastic
rubbish after their use. Unfortunately, many of these
plastic rubbish end up in the wrong places, causing that
way enormous environmental damage. Although there
has been a huge effort from ecologically conscious people
to stop that phenomenon via people’s information and
awareness about the problem, not many things have
changed. That means that the necessity of the problem’s
solution is even bigger than before.
3. Plastic garbage in the Greek coasts
The last ten years, Greek coasts suffer from plastic
pollution. Greece has some of the most beautiful beaches
around the world, yet still a lot of plastic rubbish can be
seen in the sand and the sea. There are many
organizations in Greece that are trying to make people
aware about plastic pollution and by organizing and
advertising their goal, visit beaches in order to clean them
up.

most polluted seas in
Europe. Most rubbish waste
end up in the Mediterranean
sea every year, injuring and
even killing emblematic
marine species.

Dirty beaches, dead animals; why do we do that?
7. Our experience
Last week, we visited a beautiful beach near our town to take
photographs of the plastic rubbish on the sand and clean up.
«My experience was fantastic, my feelings were unbelievable; the
only thing I can say is that when we finished this project, I felt
proud of myself».

«My experience when we visited the beach, was that we did

rubbish which had been thrown by people. I felt happy and
proud!»
- Despoina
«That action was definitely one of the most fascinating
experiences I’ve ever had in the Erasmus program. I was really
happy and excited while I was cleaning the beach; we made it a
place where everyone could enjoy the golden sand and the clear
